“Jackie” is Jacquelyn Raftery Imrich, a writer and poet. She is a retired elementary and middle school teacher who devoted her career to building self-esteem and academic skills in children. She is also the proud mother of three adult children. Widowed when her children were 6, 4, and 2 years old, she raised them on her own and taught them the importance of love, joy, humor, and faith. Her inspirational poems celebrate God’s love; her children’s stories are fun-filled adventures; and her silly, convoluted riddles are legendary in her family (see if you can figure them out!). Her family set up this website to host Jackie’s beautiful words, and to give her a venue to continue to share her words with loved ones new and old.
